On a personal note, she is married to Jamie Odefey, and has two children, Alexis and Justin and a “Gigi” to Daisy Odefey. She attends Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church where she serves as a lector. She is the daughter of the late Charles Zirkelback, and Maria Zirkelback of Port Lavaca. She enjoys watching Texas Longhorn sports.
Anne Marie Odefey was born and raised in Port Lavaca, Texas, graduated from Calhoun High School and The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Government. She graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1994 and moved back to Port Lavaca to practice with the firm of Garner, Roberts & Roberts.
Her practice focuses on the representation of governmental entities, including the City of Port Lavaca, CCISD, Calhoun County, the City of Point Comfort, Memorial Medical Center, Drainage Districts 8, 10 and 11, Calhoun County Water & Control District No. 1, and Refugio County Drainage District No. 1. She represents several business entities. She also devotes her time to real estate, corporate transactions, wills and probate.
She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Texas and National Council of School Attorneys. She is very involved locally as well. She serves as Treasurer to the Calhoun County Bar Association and the Calhoun County Texas Exes. She is a past president of the Junior Service League and the Port Lavaca/Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, the Calhoun County Bar Association, and Calhoun County Texas Exes. She is on the School Advisory Council of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic School and serves as its President. She also serves as a member of the Diocese of Victoria Catholic Schools Office advisory council, an ex officio member of the Education Foundation of Calhoun County, Inc. and a member of the board of the Friends of the Calhoun County Museum.
