John Villafranca grew up in Victoria, Texas. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 2010, John attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 2014. During his time at Texas Tech, John was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, Gamma Chi Chapter, where he served as an officer for two years and as co-chairman of the Chapter’s philanthropy committee for one year. 

John received his Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas in 2017. During the course of his studies, John interned with the Victoria District Court judges in Victoria, Texas and with the law firm of Roberts, Roberts, Odefey & Witte, LLP in Port Lavaca, Texas. John has been a junior partner in his family’s ranch and cattle operation since 2012 and helps his family operate the Club Westerner Dancehall in Victoria, Texas.  He is the son of Glenn and Kathy (Burns) Villafranca of Victoria.
